Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp/PACU role. You will assess patients before and after surgery, monitor critically important systems, and craft a personalized perioperative plan to guide recovery.

Qualifications include nursing degree, active state licensure, BLS/BCLS with ACLS and PALS as applicable, and at least one year in PreOp or PACU. Opportunities exist for professional growth within a large, patient-centered network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification if pediatric care is included within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status at intervals according to facility policies.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors accurately.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement the plan including recovery from anesthesia across general, MAC, regional and local modalities.
• Provide hand-off report to teammates with accurate, concise information.
• Document nursing care completely, accurately, and legibly.
