Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN for Pre-Procedure Phase II in the Ambulatory Surgery Unit. The role supports pre-admission planning, patient assessment, and coordination with anesthesia, delivering direct care to all ages. It operates 10:00 to 22:30, at 0.9 FTE (36 hours weekly).

Under supervision of the ASU Nurse Manager, you’ll follow hospital policies, ensure patient rights and confidentiality, and contribute to a collaborative care team. Mercy offers solid benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical skills, communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient prior to admission via phone interview or in person.
• Collect the patient's medical history from records.
• Coordinate with anesthesia regarding patient needs.
• Provide direct patient care for all age groups.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care per plan and policies.
• Adhere to Mercy mission, values and standards.
