Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Pre-Procedure Phase II in the Ambulatory Surgery Unit. The role involves pre-admission assessments, collecting medical history, coordinating with anesthesia, and delivering direct patient care across all ages.

Under the ASU Nurse Manager, you will follow the plan of care and Mercy standards, participate in care coordination, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical skills and effective communication; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient prior to admission via phone interview or in person.
• Collect patients' medical history from records.
• Coordinate patient needs with anesthesia department.
• Provide direct patient care for all age groups.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care per plan and hospital standards.
• Uphold Mercy mission, values and standards in all duties.
