Job summary

Mercy in Overland, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pre-Procedure Phase II unit. You will assess patients prior to admission, coordinate care with anesthesia, and deliver direct patient care across all ages, following hospital policies and Mercy standards.

Under the ASU Nurse Manager, you will work 36 hours per week (10:00–22:30) as a 0.9 FTE, with benefits that include insurance, retirement, PTO, and tuition support. Join a caring, collaborative team at Mercy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
• Strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assessment with the patient prior to admission via a phone interview or in person.
• Collects the patients' medical history from previous medical records.
• Works closely with the anesthesia department in coordinating the patient's needs.
• Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups.
• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care for patients in accordance with the plan of care, established hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and standards of care.
