Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pre Admission Phase II in the Ambulatory Surgery Unit. The role involves nursing process, patient assessment prior to admission, coordinating with anesthesia, and delivering direct care across all ages. Reports to ASU Nurse Manager and upholds Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association.
• Strong clinical skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients prior to admission via phone or in person.
• Collect medical history from records.
• Coordinate patient needs with anesthesia.
• Provide direct patient care for all ages.
• Plan, implement and evaluate care per plan and policies.
