Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pre-Procedure Phase II unit. The role supports perioperative care, coordinating with anesthesia and other departments. Shifts run from 10:00 to 22:30, at 0.9 full-time equivalent (36 hours/week).

The ASU handles pre and postoperative care for pediatric and adult patients, with a team-focused environment. Qualified candidates will have an accredited nursing program background, active RN license, and at least 2 years of RN experience.

Qualifications

• RN license in practicing state
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Strong communication and teamwork in a clinical setting

Responsibilities

• Assess patient prior to admission by phone or in person
• Collect patient medical history from records
• Coordinate with anesthesia team for patient needs
• Provide direct patient care for all age groups
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care per plan and policies
