Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Pre-Procedure Phase II in our Ambulatory Surgery Unit. You will perform assessments, collect histories, and coordinate with anesthesia to ensure smooth patient care for all ages.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients prior to admission via a phone interview or in person.
• Collect patients' medical history from previous medical records.
• Coordinate the patient's needs with the anesthesia department.
• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care per the plan of care, hospital and departmental policies and standards of care.
• Uphold Mercy mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
