Job summary

Mercy in Missouri seeks a Registered Nurse for the Pre Procedure Phase II in Ambulatory Surgery. The role requires assessing patients prior to admission, coordinating with anesthesia, and delivering direct nursing care across all ages in a fast-paced unit adjacent to the OR and PACU.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical skills, effective communication, and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess and interview patients prior to admission via phone or in person.
• Collect patients' medical history from records.
• Coordinate with anesthesia to meet patient needs.
• Provide direct patient care for all age groups.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care per plan and hospital policies.
• Uphold Mercy Service Standards and mission.
