Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pre Admission Phase II in Collinsville, IL. This 0.9 FTE position supports the Ambulatory Surgery Unit, coordinating pre-admission activities, patient assessments, and nursing care across ages.

Under ASU supervision, you’ll collaborate with anesthesia, document care plans, and ensure safety and confidentiality while delivering high-quality patient care. Competitive benefits apply from day one and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current RN license in the state of practice
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
• Strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Assess patient prior to admission via phone interview or in person
• Collect patient medical history from records
• Coordinate patient needs with anesthesia department
• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care per plan and policies
