Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN MDS Coordinator to oversee and assure accurate, timely MDS assessments, CCAs, and care plans in accordance with CMS RAI manual regulations.

The role requires an active RN license, an associate or bachelor degree in nursing, and at least two years of nursing experience, preferably geriatric. CPR may be required per orientation and ongoing compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of nursing experience; geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Active RN license in good standing; must maintain licensure throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist with completion and submission of MDS Assessments, CCAs, and Care Plans per CMS RAI Manual regulations.
• Report changes in patient condition identified by MDS to the Director of Nursing.
• Educate direct care associates on CMS RAI updates and Skilled Nursing Facility regulations affecting documentation.
• Assist with review of Interdisciplinary Comprehensive Care Plans.
• Review Final Validation Reports and ensure assessments are completed and accepted in CMS QIES prior to billing.
