Job summary

A premier nonprofit skilled nursing facility in Connecticut seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join its clinical leadership team. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, you will assist in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of the Nursing Services Department.

You will lead charge nurses and supervisors, support regulatory compliance, drive QAPI initiatives, and ensure residents attain their highest practicable well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license in Connecticut (active).
• Minimum 2 years of nursing supervisory experience.
• Minimum 6 months in rehabilitative/restorative nursing.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations (CMS).
• Excellent clinical judgment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct day-to-day nursing operations per standards.
• Lead charge nurses and supervisors; provide training.
• Monitor rounds, medications, protocols, and infection control.
• Lead resident assessments and care plan development.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and records.
• Oversee budget, equipment, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Support QAPI programs and regulatory surveys.
• Ensure policy adherence and safety standards.
