Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a premier nonprofit skilled nursing facility in Connecticut. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, you will help plan, organize, and direct daily operations of the Nursing Services Department and lead charge nurses and supervisors, ensuring high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• RN license in CT required; active CPR certification.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing supervisory/leadership experience in skilled care.
• Minimum 6 months restorative nursing experience.
• In-depth knowledge of long-term care regulations and CMS Rules.
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day nursing operations.
• Provide leadership to Charge Nurses and Supervisors and train staff.
• Conduct daily clinical rounds; monitor care, meds, treatment, and infection control.
• Lead resident assessments and develop person-centered care plans.
• Manage staffing needs, scheduling, and staffing information.
• Support recruitment, orientation, licensing verification, and evaluations.
• Coordinate care with physicians, consultants, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Lead QAPI program; participate in surveys and corrective plans.
• Oversee medication administration and report errors to DON.
• Assist with budget planning and resource allocations.
• Plan in-service training with Staff Development and ensure policy adherence.
