Job summary

The premier nonprofit skilled nursing facility in Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join its clinical leadership team. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, you will assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of the Nursing Services Department.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in CT required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing supervisory/leadership experience in long-term care or hospital settings.
• In-depth knowledge of long-term care regulations, CMS Requirements of Participation, and state health codes.
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning and directing day-to-day operations.
• Provide leadership to Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors; supervise staff.
• Monitor resident care delivery, medication passes, and infection control standards.
• Lead resident assessments and develop person-centered care plans.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling, recruit and train nursing personnel.
• Support QA/QI initiatives and regulatory surveys; participate in plans of correction.
