Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a premier Connecticut skilled nursing facility. You will report to the Director of Nursing and assist in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing operations to ensure high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

Lead charge nurses and supervisors, support QA/QAPI initiatives, coordinate with physicians and teams, and contribute to staff development and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CT RN license; CPR certification.
• Minimum two years nursing supervisory/leadership experience.
• Minimum six months restorative nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct day-to-day nursing operations to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead charge nurses and supervisors with training and delegation.
• Monitor nursing care delivery, medication passes, and infection control.
• Participate in resident assessments and develop person-centered care plans.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and determining daily assignments.
• Support recruitment, orientation, licensing verification, and evaluations.
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Lead QA and Performance Improvement initiatives and surveys.
• Oversee medication administration and report errors.
• Assist with budgeting and resource allocation.
• Plan staff in-service training with the Staff Development Coordinator.
