Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Advanced Facilities Data Centers team. You will design building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping, and perform field investigations interfacing with clients and vendors.

You will develop design criteria, AFDS and P&IDs, and provide system design calculations under engineering guidance, progressing to more complex projects while meeting schedule and quality targets. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Fire Protection Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Desire to design building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping, for buildings and facilities.
• Proficiency in 3D CADD
• Visa Sponsorship is not avialble for this role

Responsibilities

• Perform field investigations, interface with clients & vendors, size and select equipment, and prepare construction design packages.
• Develop design criteria, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), and P&IDs, and provide system design calculations.
• Coordinate with architectural and engineering trades under the guidance of Professional Engineers.
• Ensure schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks meeting client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Architectural/Fire Protection Engineering or closely related discipline

EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months
