Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer for its Advanced Facilities Data Centers team. You will design building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping, and apply theory to real-world projects across the country.

You’ll perform field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, and prepare construction design packages, AFDs, and P&IDs while coordinating with other trades under Professional Engineers. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Fire Protection Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Desire to design building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD.

Responsibilities

• Perform field investigations and interface with clients and vendors.
• Size and select equipment and prepare construction design packages.
• Develop design criteria, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), and P&IDs.
• Provide system design calculations and coordinate with other trades under Professional Engineers.
• Take ownership of schedule and technical quality on engineering tasks.
