Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Advanced Facilities Data Centers team, focusing on building mechanical systems and HVAC design. You’ll gain hands-on experience with field investigations, equipment sizing, and construction design packages across a national footprint.

You’ll develop design criteria, AFDS and P&IDs under professional guidance, while coordinating with other trades to ensure schedule and quality. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Fire Protection Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Desire to design building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping, for buildings and facilities.
• Proficiency in 3D CADD.
• Visa Sponsorship is not avialble for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform field investigations, interfacing with clients & vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.
• Develop design criteria, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), and P&IDs and provide system design calculations.
• Coordinate closely with the designs of other trades under the guidance of Professional Engineers.
• Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned and progress from basic to more complex projects.
• Collaborate with a multi-discipline team to meet client needs and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Skills

EIT or ability to obtain within 6 mo.
