Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Advanced Facilities Data Centers team. You will apply theoretical knowledge to build mechanical/HVAC systems for buildings and facilities, performing field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, and preparing design packages.

You will develop design criteria, AFDs, and P&IDs, delivering design calculations and coordinating with other trades under Professional Engineers. Hybrid work model encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Fire Protection Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Desire to design building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping.
• Proficiency in 3D CADD.
• Visa Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform field investigations and interface with clients and vendors.
• Size and select equipment and prepare construction design packages.
• Develop design criteria, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs) and P&IDs.
• Provide system design calculations and coordinate with architectural and engineering trades.
• Contribute to schedule adherence and technical quality of tasks.
• Progress from basic to more complex design work with a technical team.
