Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with DoD requirements. You will support US Air Force acquisition stakeholders, demonstrate interoperability of StreamCaster radios, and travel to field tests and demonstrations as needed.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering and business development teams, with a remote work option depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Network Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years experience; or HS with 5+ years in technical roles.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communications.
• Familiar with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months; U.S. citizenship required.
• Background check and drug test clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze US Air Force priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to benchmark solutions and verify architectures.
• Coordinate with BD team to support technical needs and priorities.
• Develop and present technical demonstrations for airborne and expeditionary networks.
• Support RFI/RFP responses with technical input.
• Conduct market research for integrations with partners.
• Engage with DoD offices and AFRL/AFLCMC leads for requirements.
• Gather field feedback to influence product roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and demonstrations.
