Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with Air Force requirements. You will work with engineering and BD teams to demonstrate interoperability of StreamCaster radios across airborne and ground environments.

The role requires 2–5 years in related fields, feasibility of obtaining a SECRET clearance, and up to 50% travel with a remote work option depending on location.

Qualifications

• Degree in EE/CE/CS/Network Eng or C5ISR with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizen; background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze US Air Force priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan networks, configure systems, and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to validate architectures with benchmarking data.
• Support BD in meeting technical needs and align with strategic priorities.
• Develop technical demos for airborne, edge, and expeditionary networks.
• Review RFIs/RFPs and contribute to proposals.
• Conduct market research on potential partner integrations.
• Engage with DoD program offices and labs to translate feedback into roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and demonstrations.
