Job summary

Ascensus is a leading technology and service platform powering retirement plans in the U.S. This Client Services Consultant role focuses on delivering expert service to partners, intermediaries and plan sponsors.

You will apply detailed plan knowledge to resolve complex issues and provide consultative support while collaborating with Relationship Managers to drive client satisfaction. The role emphasizes mentorship, data handling, and proactive communication to ensure accurate, timely service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years direct client experience; retirement services preferred.
• Certification or progress toward ASPPA/CEBS preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels.
• Experience with financial services systems and plan administration.
• Proficiency in MS Office; Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative client service to partners, intermediaries and plan sponsors.
• Demonstrate retirement plan knowledge and Ascensus products to resolve complex issues.
• Coordinate with Relationship Manager to deliver client satisfaction and value-added consulting.
• Coach and mentor colleagues to ensure high service standards.
• Manage escalated items, research issues, and communicate resolutions clearly.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and financial professionals.
• Support vendor relationships and contribute to retention and growth goals.
• Assist with periodic activity review, compliance items, and plan initiatives.
