Job summary

LILT, a global language AI company, is seeking experienced Retail professionals to support a cutting-edge benchmarking project focused on Indian retail and consumer environments. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will create and review realistic scenarios across store operations, customer service, inventory, pharmacy workflows, and loss prevention to help AI systems understand real-world challenges.

This is an independent 1099 contractor role with flexible hours and no guaranteed benefits.

Qualifications

• Native-level Malayalam and professional English proficiency.
• 5+ years of experience in Retail, Store Ops, Pharmacy Ops, Commercial Management, Loss Prevention, or Retail Investigations.
• Background in roles: Retail Sales Supervision, Store/Operations Management, Pharmacist or Pharmacy Ops, Retail Security, Loss Prevention, Fraud Investigation, Customer Experience, or Multi-Branch Retail Operations.
• Strong understanding of customer service workflows, retail operations, compliance procedures, inventory management, and Indian retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic Retail Trade scenarios in Malayalam or English grounded in Indian operational contexts.
• Adapt structured evaluation rubrics for operational problem-solving, customer interactions, retail decision-making, and compliance-related tasks.
• Review AI and human-generated responses for factual accuracy, policy compliance, customer service quality, and operational realism.
• Contribute to "gold standard" solutions reflecting best practices across Indian retail, pharmacy, and commercial operations.
