Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Geek Squad Agent to be the first point of contact for technology support and solutions at our local store. You will be trained and equipped to assess customer needs, perform basic services, and collaborate with other agents on more complex repairs.

You’ll help customers set up devices, explain repair vs. replacement options, and provide accurate time estimates. A flexible schedule including holidays, nights, and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents
