Job summary

Best Buy’s Geek Squad Agent is the first point of contact for customers seeking technology support at our local store. You’ll assess needs, perform basic services and partner with other agents on complex repairs, with training and resources provided.

You’ll help customers understand issues, set up devices, and decide whether to repair or replace. The role requires a customer-focused mindset and willingness to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends, with ongoing learning

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service.
• Preferred qualifications include passion for technology and desire to solve problems.
• Ability to adapt and learn new skills in a fast-paced industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during check-in and checkout.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and advise on repair or replacement decisions.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and collaborate with fellow agents.
