Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking a capable leader to supervise and develop hourly associates across store operations. You will hire, train, mentor, and assign duties while promoting a culture of belonging and high performance.

You will coordinate with stakeholders to drive growth, improve processes, and ensure a high quality customer experience. You will lead teams, monitor performance, and communicate company direction while upholding the Open Door Policy and Walmart values.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ of college
• 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience
• 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience
• Firearms CBC and/or state-specific checks may be required for firearms-selling facilities
• Attendance and successful completion of trainings and assessments (e.g. Academy trainings, Open Door trainings)

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring of associates; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; providing associate recognition; communicating expectations consistently and effectively promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace and recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
• Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, listening to associates; touring stores and providing feedback; communicating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, merchandise, and company direction; implementing business solutions with clear guidance.
• Models exceptional customer service standards and resolves customer issues; supports OBW service model; drives customer-focused initiatives and continuous process improvements.
