Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Store Supervisor to plan, direct and supervise team members across departments, mentor staff, implement strategies to improve customer service and store performance, and ensure standards are met during peak hours.

Responsibilities include staffing, hiring, ensuring friendly service, managing P&L for the department, and training team members to uphold Meijer standards while maintaining a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas helpful.
• Ability to communicate clearly, resolve conflicts and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience in analyzing financial information and teaching suggestive selling.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in daily store operations.
• Mentors and coaches staff; drives customer service and sales.
• Maintains store appearance and product presentation to standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet needs.
• Promotes career paths and development for team members.
• Documents disciplinary actions and discharge recommendations.
• Oversees P&L, sales targets and shrink control.
