Job summary

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago Des Plaines store is seeking a Retail Supervisor to help oversee store and donation center operations, motivate the team, and drive customer satisfaction and revenue goals.

Responsibilities include maximizing donated goods, coordinating rotation, coaching employees, ensuring POS coverage, hiring support, and maintaining safety and policy compliance while engaging with the community.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education or experience equivalency.
• Ability to complete and retain forklift certification.
• Flexible schedule with required closing shifts and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the value of donated goods and maintain store standards.
• Rotate goods in the store to keep new merchandise flowing.
• Coach and train employees; ensure adequate POS coverage and donor flow.
• Assist with hiring; conduct phone screens and training as needed.
• Operate the register, manage tills, and maintain cash controls.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment and safe equipment use.
• Enforce loss prevention policies and procedures with management.
• Complete required reports on time and share insights with leadership.
• Communicate policies clearly and implement them across the team.
• Plan work assignments to improve customer service and asset protection.
• Lead change management and adapt to new tasks and learning.
• Apply technical knowledge to day-to-day tasks and problem solve.
• Engage with the community and participate in volunteer opportunities.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
