Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Team Lead to supervise day-to-day store operations and ensure 100% policy compliance. You will provide leadership and training to staff under the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, and in their absence assume full responsibility for store operations.

The role aims to meet and exceed sales, service and operational objectives, with the position potentially being full- or part-time as a management employee.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility is the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience and coach staff.
• Manage POS transactions in line with policy: sales, discounts, refunds, loyalty, opening/closing.
• Handle inventory control: shipping/receiving, price changes, markdowns, damaged merchandise, physical inventory.
• Oversee merchandising and visual presentation to company standards: placement, housekeeping, promotions signage.
• Payroll control: scheduling and time/attendance, budget compliance.
• Train and develop direct reports, ensure policy adherence and customer service standards.
• Loss prevention responsibilities to protect company assets.
• Develop understanding of daily operations management.
