Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Team Lead to supervise daily store operations and ensure 100% policy compliance. You will provide leadership and training to staff under the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, stepping in when they are absent to maintain operations and drive sales, service and efficiency.

The role involves managing service standards, POS procedures, inventory, merchandising, payroll, and loss prevention to support a high-performing retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely manage day-to-day store operations and support staff performance.
• Create and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience; train staff and enforce service standards.
• Oversee POS transactions in line with policies including sales, discounts, refunds, and loyalty processes.
• Handle inventory control, shipping/receiving, price changes, markdowns, and physical counts.
• Lead merchandising and visual presentation to align with company standards and promotional materials.
• Monitor scheduling, payroll compliance, and attendance to manage labor costs.
• Train direct reports and reinforce customer service standards across the team.
• Support loss prevention and protect company assets; drive store operations toward efficiency.
