Job summary

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago is seeking a Retail Supervisor to assist with store and donation center operations, motivate the team, and drive a positive customer experience through merchandising and coaching. You will supervise on busy shifts, support training, and ensure smooth cashier operations and loss-prevention adherence.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education or experience equivalency.
• Ability to complete and retain forklift certification.
• Flexible schedule with a minimum of two closing shifts weekly and every other weekend.
• Must have a working phone enabling communication accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Maximize value of donated goods and maintain production and store standards.
• Coordinate rotation of goods to keep merchandise flowing.
• Help train and coach employees to be productive and collaborative.
• Oversee attendance at POS and donations, and assist hiring with phone screens.
• Operate register, assign tills, and ensure proper cash controls.
• Maintain safe, orderly work environment and safe equipment practices.
• Work with store management on loss-prevention procedures.
• Complete required reports on time and share insights with leadership.
• Communicate policies and procedures and report concerns to leadership.
• Plan and organize work to boost customer service and protect assets.
• Plan and manage own work for routine duties and special assignments.
• Use available skills to manage day-to-day tasks and adapt to change.
• Serve as an ambassador for Goodwill in the community and support volunteering.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
