Job summary

Intuit is seeking TurboTax Retail Experts to assist in-person customers at TurboTax Retail or Flagship locations across the United States. You will provide full-service tax return preparation, tax advice, and software support in a friendly, community-focused environment.

This on-site role requires at least 20 hours per week, a valid EA/CPA/attorney license, and a passion for helping clients maximize refunds. Illinois pay range is $31.00–$34.50 per hour, with eligibility for bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or attorney license with strong tax preparation experience.
• PTIN must be active to file taxes.
• Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software.
• Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax retail or flagship location, Sunday through Saturday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Must be willing to wear a TurboTax uniform and work in a front-facing retail environment.
• Must reside within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax customers, handling simple to complex tax situations.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Utilize resources such as government websites, professional tools, and team expertise to deliver accurate tax solutions in personalized everyday language.
• Grow TurboTax client base through local community outreach and referrals.
• Deliver best-in-class customer experience in-person and via TurboTax tools.
