Job summary

Intuit, Inc. seeks TurboTax Retail Experts to provide in-person tax preparation, advice, and software support at TurboTax Retail or Flagship locations across the United States.

You’ll help clients navigate taxes, build local relationships, and contribute to community growth with marketing support and a strong pay-for-performance structure. The role is onsite, non-exempt, 20+ hours/week, with base pay in California of $32.50–$36.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or attorney license with strong tax preparation experience.
• PTIN required to file taxes.
• Must possess or obtain state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal/state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software.
• Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax retail or flagship location, Sunday through Saturday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax-related content.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing.
• Must be willing to wear a TurboTax uniform.
• Must be willing to work in a front facing retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Be a proactive community ambassador for TurboTax locally.
• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax customers.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions and plan taxes.
• Utilize resources to deliver accurate tax solutions in everyday language.
• Deliver a best-in-class customer experience and build long-term client relationships.
