Goodwill Joliet store is seeking a Retail Supervisor to support supervision and operations of the store and donation center. You will help drive customer satisfaction, merchandising efforts, and team coaching to meet revenue goals.

You will mentor staff, manage coverage at the point of sale, and assist with hiring, training, and safety practices, while promoting positive customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment in Joliet, IL.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education or experience equivalency.
• Ability to complete and retain forklift certification.
• Work varied schedule with a minimum of two closing shifts per week and every other weekend.
• Must have a working phone for communication accessibility.

Responsabilités

• Maximize the value of all donated goods and maintain production and store environment standards.
• Coordinate the proper rotation of goods in the store to ensure a continuous flow of new merchandise.
• Support the training and coaching of all employees to reach their potential as productive team members; ensure adequate POS and donations coverage.
• Assist with hiring process of associates; complete phone screens and training as needed.
• Function as a service experience leader (SEL); operate register, assign tills, maintain cash controls and customer flow.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment; ensure safe operation of equipment and safety practices.
• Work with Store Management to conduct apprehensions following loss prevention policies.
• Accurately complete data entry of required reports on time and share insights with leadership.
• Communicate and implement policies; report concerns to leadership.
• Plan and organize work assignments to increase customer service and protect assets.
• Project and Change Management: plan and manage own work to complete duties and adapt to change.
• Problem Solving: general supervision; use skills to manage day-to-day tasks.
• Technical Skill: learn and apply new concepts.
• Community Engagement: act as an ambassador for Goodwill in the community.
