Job summary

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago in Joliet, IL is seeking a Retail Supervisor to support store and donation center operations, supervise staff, coach customer interactions, and drive revenue through merchandising and service excellence.

Responsibilities include training, scheduling, POS coverage, loss prevention, data reporting, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment. A two-year college education or equivalent experience is required, forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education or experience equivalency.
• Ability to complete and retain forklift certification.
• Work varied schedule including two closing shifts per week and alternating weekends.
• Must have a working phone for communication access.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the value of donated goods and maintain store standards.
• Coordinate rotation of goods to ensure fresh merchandise flow.
• Train and coach employees to be productive and customer-focused; ensure POS coverage.
• Assist with hiring: phone screens and training as needed.
• Serve as service experience leader; operate register and manage cash controls.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety practices.
• Work with Store Management on loss prevention and policy adherence.
• Complete required reports on time and share insights with leadership.
