Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Key Carrier to support store leadership while performing duties of a Coordinator and stepping into Key Carrier roles as needed.

open availability including nights and weekends is required; you will model outstanding customer service and uphold store standards. You will help manage associates, ensure adherence to procedures, and assist in opening/closing tasks while maintaining a positive, cohesive team environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience
• 6 months leadership experience
• Able to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures
• Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores
• Proven problem solving skills
• Able to coach, delegate and follow up on multiple people/tasks
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides appropriate coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
