Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California's Stevens Creek Thrift Store in San Jose seeks an Assistant Store Manager. The role supports the Store Manager in daily operations, sales targets, donations, inventory, and customer service, while mentoring ARC program Beneficiaries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years retail management/supervisory experience (thrift preferred).
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Takes an active role with the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, including opening/closing, POS operations, inventory rotation, and donations.
• Assists Store Manager to monitor KPIs and drive sales and profitability.
• Supervises and develops Beneficiaries in Work Therapy Assignments and ensures safety and compliance with ARC policies.
