Job summary

The Salvation Army Stevens Creek Thrift Store in San Jose, CA is seeking a Sales Lead to partner with the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening/closing, POS, inventory, donations and merchandising. The role emphasizes leadership, customer service and community outreach in a busy retail setting.

You will supervise staff, assist with scheduling and training, and help drive store sales to meet budgets, while maintaining ARC program support and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Minimum one year of retail experience and supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass background check including criminal history.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager in daily store operations including opening/closing, POS, inventory and donations.
• Assume day-to-day store operations in absence of management; escalate concerns to District Sales Manager.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive sales and profitability per budgets.
• Schedule staff to ensure coverage; lead team meetings; manage time and attendance paperwork.
• Ensure high levels of customer and donor satisfaction and maintain community relations.
• Support Back Room Processing and supervise beneficiaries when Work Therapy is in place.
