Job summary

Buckle is hiring a Management Trainee in Joliet, IL to support the store leadership team and learn to manage operations, merchandising and people development. The role will work directly with the Store Manager to grow sales, recruit and lead teammates, and potentially oversee store operations in their absence.

Base pay ranges from $20 to $24 per hour, with eligibility for commissions, benefits and a path to Store Manager leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; or 1–3 months related retail experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
• Recruit, train and lead teammates; develop leadership skills in preparation to become Store Manager.
• Act as Store Manager in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Support Store Manager with coaching, interviewing and leadership activities.

Education

Bachelor's degree or 1–3 months retail experience
