Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Jacksonville, NC is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture, drive sales, and oversee front-end and service operations across the store.

You will coach teams, manage SOPs, and ensure strong customer experiences. Responsibilities include supporting POS systems, running in-store programs, promoting Loyalty rewards, and delivering omni-channel service including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interactions.
• Experience leading front-end and service operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, coaching the team on store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout systems to support smooth transactions and customer support.
• Oversee events and programs (Balloons, birthday parties) and enroll customers in Loyalty Rewards.
• Drive sales and service through MCC/Extend protection plans and offerings; oversee Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experience.
• Ensure efficient BOPIS and Same Day Delivery; support Custom Framing operations and team training.
