Job summary

Goodwill of Monocacy Valley is hiring a Retail Store Manager in Training for the Westminster location. You will lead the store team, drive donations and sales, and manage operations to meet annual goals.

The role requires coordinating with the Retail District Manager, overseeing payroll, and maintaining strong customer service and store presentation. The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow within the Goodwill network.

Qualifications

• Two years’ work experience in Retail Management, preferably thrift.
• One-year customer service experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid drivers’ license and clean MVR.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
• Coordinates with Retail District Manager to develop and implement strategic plans to help drive donations.
• Monitors product levels daily to achieve bottom line sales budget against targets.
• Ensures payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
• Ensures Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Ensures store locations are clean, well-kept, and reflect the Goodwill brand appropriately.
• Partners with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill mission.
• Transfers to different stores as needed for business needs.
• Leads training and development of Team Members and ensures staff coverage.
