Job summary

Goodwill of Monocacy Valley is seeking a Retail Store Manager to drive store operations, donations flow, and customer experience at our Sykesville location. You will lead the Assistant Store Manager(s), Production Team, and Donation Attendants to meet income, donation targets, and cost control while upholding Goodwill brand standards.

The role requires 2+ years in retail management, strong customer service, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Two years’ work experience in Retail Management, preferably thrift.
• One-year customer service experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
• Coordinates with Retail District Manager to develop and implement strategic plans to help drive donations.
• Monitors product levels daily to achieve bottom line sales budget against targets.
• Ensures payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
• Ensures Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Ensures store locations are clean, well-kept, and reflect the Goodwill brand appropriately.
• Partners with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill mission.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
• Serves as a Goodwill ambassador to the community.
• Transfers to different stores as needed; covers shifts across stores.
• Ensures staff are trained and fulfill duties; oversees Donation Attendants and Production Team.
