Michaels is seeking a Store Manager for the Albany-Latham, NY area. You will lead a team, drive sales, and ensure top customer service while delivering store KPI targets within budget. The role emphasizes SOP compliance, staff development, and operational excellence.

As MOD, you will oversee all store departments, from framing to front-end operations, and maintain a positive store culture that reflects Michaels' values. Evening and weekend shifts are typical.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail experience including inventory management, merchandising and customer service excellence.
• 2+ years of experience directly supervising a diverse team, including performance management and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the store, ensuring SOPs and company programs are followed and team delivers results.
• Deliver sales and profit plan and KPIs, managing staff to achieve role KPIs.
• Lead execution of the customer brand promises and shrink/safety programs.
• Set goals and communicate them using company tools; staff the store with qualified Team Members and coach them.
• Interact respectfully with others and model Michaels’ vision and values; serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Maintain cross-trained knowledge across store departments, including framing selling and production.
