Job summary

Burlington is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor store entrances and high-risk areas, greet customers with a friendly, energetic greeting, and report theft or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to monitor the store environment.
Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

Monitor store entrances/exits and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
Greet every customer with a warm smile and energetic greeting.
Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates per safety standards.
Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
