Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering friendly customer service.

You will monitor entrances, greet customers, report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty, and participate in shortage reduction programs to protect assets.

This role requires 1+ years in customer service or retail, the ability to stand for long periods, and flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances/exits and high‑risk areas to reduce opportunities for theft.
• Greet every customer with a warm, confident greeting and promote a sense of security.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
