Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate in Moreno Valley to help maintain a secure shopping environment and deliver excellent customer service. You will be visible at store entrances, monitor for theft, and engage with customers in a friendly, energetic way while upholding safety standards.

This part-time role requires strong communication skills, the ability to stand for long periods, and a proactive attitude toward loss prevention.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to monitor store environment and respond to situations quickly.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance and greet customers entering or exiting the store.
• Monitor entrances and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Provide support in training associates on shortage reduction programs.
• Communicate theft prevention information during store rallies and team meetings.
• Conduct bag and package checks in line with safety and security standards.
