Job summary

Burlington Stores is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will be stationed at store entrances, monitor high-risk areas, greet customers, and partner with leadership to report theft incidents.

The role requires knowledge of shortage reduction programs, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Part-time with flexible hours and associate discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and monitor the store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Strong leadership to foster productive store relationships.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional presence at store entrances and high-risk areas.
• Greet every customer with a warm, energetic greeting and promote a sense of security.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Monitor for opportunities to reduce theft and maintain safety standards.
