Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment and deliver excellent customer service. You will maintain alertness at store entrances and high-risk areas, greet customers, and report suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.

The role requires 1+ years in customer service/retail or asset protection, the ability to stand for long periods, and a proactive, energetic approach. Part-time position with benefits and flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrance/exit and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer with a warm, loud, friendly greeting and promote a sense of control and security.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on associates while adhering to safety standards.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
