Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure, friendly shopping environment.

You will greet customers at the entrance with a warm, confident greeting and maintain awareness to deter theft while delivering excellent service. Your role includes monitoring high-risk areas, performing bag and package checks in line with safety standards, reporting suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty, and helping train others on shortage reduction programs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with disciplined decision making.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting.
• Maintain vigilance at store entrances/exits to deter theft and protect assets.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and associates while following safety standards.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Support shortage reduction programs and role-model safety practices.
