Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont in Charlotte seeks a Retail Associate to keep store operations running smoothly, supervise staff, and provide friendly, prompt service to customers and donors.

You will open/close the store, manage deposits, and ensure security while handling donations and merchandise flow. Role entails physical activity with local travel as needed and eligible for incentives based on store performance.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of Goodwill retail experience or 2 years of general retail experience.
• Physically active with ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Some local travel may be required.

Mansioni

• Support store operations and staff management to keep our store running smoothly.
• Open and close the store, manage deposits, and secure the building.
• Resolve customer complaints and issue refunds.
• Ensure customers and donors receive friendly, prompt service.
• Make production and scheduling decisions in the absence of management.
• Manage the flow of donated goods to optimize sales.
• Coordinate shipments and merchandise flow to meet goals.
• Rotate, organize, and display merchandise by category and color.
• Step in to assist with store team duties as needed.
• Leads floor operations to include managing, sorting, and moving donations with purpose.
• Supervise employees and store activities when managers are unavailable.
• Report safety or theft concerns to store leadership.
