Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking a Shift Supervisor at our Avon store to help manage daily store operations, supervise teammates, and deliver exceptional customer service. The role supports mission-driven programs and requires maintaining accurate POS and inventory records.

The position offers a benefits package and requires at least one year of retail experience, strong leadership, and good math skills for cash handling. Avon, CT location; full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or the equivalent.
• One year experience in retail sales performing cashiering, customer service, display, shipping/receiving, and inventory duties.
• Ability to lead and direct Team Members.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and ability to operate register.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for store operations during assigned shift.
• Open and close retail store.
• Delegate work assignments to associates and ensure tasks are completed.
• Provide excellent customer service, promote merchandise, handle complaints and refunds.
• Complete daily documentation and financial reports.
• Sell merchandise, operate POS, and thank customers for supporting the mission.
• Perform stock duties, rotate merchandise, and manage displays.
• Record inventory received and return items to the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and neat store.
